Super séjour chez Nanou! Je me suis sentie bien accueillie et la chambre convenait totalement à l’offre! Je recommande car l’emplacement est idéal et le quartier est calme! je recommande très vivement!!!

English below: Un espace incroyable pour étudier à La Rochelle. En tant qu’étudiant étranger qui ne parlait pas français, j’ai vécu une expérience française incroyable avec Nanou et Alain. Ils m’ont ouvert leur maison et offert leur hospitalité pour mieux connaître la culture, des repas quotidiens auxquels ils m’invitaient à participer, aux rencontres avec leurs amis et leur famille, dont ils m’ont également fait sentir partie, sans oublier la télévision française que j’ai pris plaisir à découvrir. La cuisine et l’amabilité de Nanou sont incroyables, et les conversations et plaisanteries avec Alain ont toujours été intéressantes. Les conditions de la maison sont impeccables, et ils se soucient du bien-être de chaque personne qu’ils accueillent. Je me suis toujours senti très pris en charge grâce à toute l’aide qu’ils m’ont apportée dans les tâches que je devais accomplir et aux recommandations pour continuer à visiter La Rochelle. Ils savent respecter l’espace personnel et sont incroyablement flexibles quant aux horaires d’arrivée tard dans la nuit. Ils m’ont également prêté leur vélo, même si l’arrêt de bus « Les Iles » est tout près de la maison. Cela dit, comme les bus arrêtent de circuler à 21h, si vous rentrez d’une soirée dans le centre de La Rochelle, le retour à vélo dure environ 20 minutes avec beaucoup de froid. Être avec eux a été un véritable plaisir, que ce soit pour découvrir la langue, me sentir comme chez moi et apprendre d’une culture aussi belle que la culture française. Je recommanderais sans hésiter à toute personne de séjourner chez cette famille et de profiter de l’un des meilleurs emplacements qu’Aytré a à offrir. ___ An incredible space to study in La Rochelle. As a foreign student who didn’t speak French, I had an amazing French experience with Nanou and Alain. They welcomed me into their home and hospitality, allowing me to learn more about the culture—everything from the daily meals they invited me to join, to gatherings with friends and family where they made me feel included, and the constant French television I thoroughly enjoyed discovering. Nanou’s cooking and warmth are incredible, and the conversations and jokes with Alain were always engaging. The house’s conditions are impeccable, and they genuinely care about the well-being of anyone they host. I always felt well looked after, thanks to all the help they provided for the tasks I needed to complete and the recommendations they gave me to continue exploring La Rochelle. They know how to respect personal space and are incredibly flexible regarding late-night arrivals. They even lent me their bicycle, though the “Les Iles” bus stop is very close to the house. That said, since buses stop running at 9 PM, if you come back from a night out in La Rochelle’s center, the bike ride back takes about 20 minutes in quite a bit of cold. Staying with them was an absolute pleasure—whether it was learning the language, feeling at home, or immersing myself in such a beautiful culture as the French one. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay with this family and enjoy one of the best locations Aytré has to offer.
